Heading out to Mosquito Lagoon in the morning...

Going to tangle with the reds and trout of the Lagoon for the rest of the week.  I have'nt been there since the spring so it's back to basics for locating qaulity fish.  I hear the water is lower than normal for this time of year so tailing fish will probably be the deal early and then edge fishing with jigs as the sun gets higher and of course hotter.

But I love fishing the Lagoon truly one of the best places to explore in Florida...if any of you have a fishing report from this area or another locale, post it in our What's Biting forum and share your angling experiences with the rest of us!

I was there on Sunday and we put in at Turtle Mound ramp and shot the east channel to middle island.  Had alot of bait fish and reds tailing everywhere.  Caught a 26" red on a skitter walk Rapala.\

The Trout seem to be holding over on the west side of the west channel behind the clinker islands?

I heard Wale Tale down south is holding alot of spooky monster REDS?

Not a guide just a man who loves to fish!

    Good luck!  Jason

Lots of traffic down there this up coming weekend with the IFA tourney which I am sure you are more than aware of if not participating.  If so good luck!
