I just got back from a tough weekend at the Cup opener in Punta Gorda, we finished 28th, not exactly what I had in mind. We really struggled with two schools of reds primarily with pressure from other anglers...but we still managed to catch 7 to 8 fish per day but not the right ones of course.
Maybe Port Arthur will be kinder to us in a few weeks! As always the fans in Punta Gorda were very friendly and supportive... it is truly an awesome place to fish.
In other news Flats Class Pros Bertha/McKenzie finished 16th and Al Keller grabbed 25th place.
